BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR AED Initial Course: 4 hours $64.00
The Healthcare Provider Course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages.  
Other skills include ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, use of an automated
external defibrillator (AED), and relief of a foreign-body airway obstruction.  This course is
intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings.
Classes Offered
Heartsaver CPR AED:  3 hours call for pricing
The Heartsaver CPR AED Course teaches the basic techniques of adult, child, and infant CPR
along with use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).  The course also teaches you how to
recognize the signs of heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest, and foreign-body airway obstruction.  
This class is only offered as a group class at your location.  
CPR for Family and Friends:  2.5 to 3 hours call for pricing
The CPR for Family and Friends Course is a modular course that teaches skills in CPR and
relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking).  The course is a basic orientation to adult,
child, and infant CPR and the American Heart Association's Chain of Survival.  
This class is
only offered as a group class at your location.
Heartsaver First Aid with CPR AED: 3 (First Aid only) to 6 hours call for pricing
The Heartsaver First Aid Course consists of First Aid Basics, Medical Emergencies, Injury
Emergencies, and Environmental Emergencies.  CPR AED for adult, child, and infant can also be
included.  This course teaches the rescuer the knowledge and psychomotor skills they need to
recognize emergencies at the worksite and give first aid.  
This class is only offered as a
group class at your location.

BLS and Heartsaver CPR AED Instructor Course: 6-7 hours $178.00
There are three pre-requisites to attend the Instructor Course:
BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR AED Renewal Course: 3 hours $59.00
If you have a current Healthcare Provider CPR AED card due to expire or not more than 60-days
expired, you can register for the Renewal Course.
Heartsaver First Aid Instructor Course: 3.5 hours $85.00
The BLS & Heartsaver CPR AED Instructor Course is a pre-requisite to attend the Heartsaver
First Aid Instructor Course.  The course will provide you with all the information to facilitate the
Heartsaver First Aid Course and the Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid Course.
BLS and Heartsaver Instructor Renewal Course: 2 hours $75.00
You must renew your Instructor card within the month you expire.  If you have taught at least 4
CPR classes since your last Instructor class or Instructor Renewal class, you are eligible to
attend an Instructor Renewal class.  There is not a grace period for Instructor renewals.  If you
don't renew within the month you expire, you will have to start over by taking a initial Instructor
Course.  
You must complete the 2010 Guidelines Science Update prior to attending the
Instructor Renewal.
Heartsaver First Aid Online with CPR AED:  5 to 6 hours $79.00
The Heartsaver First Aid Course is completed online at www.onlineaha.org and may take 1.5
to 2 hours to complete.  The CPR AED portion is completed in the classroom along with a First
Aid skills review over a 3.5 to 4 hour time period.  Registration for the course includes a key
code to activate the First Aid course online.  The key code will be e-mailed to you within 24
hours of receiving your registration.  This course would be appropriate for anyone needing to
have a Heartsaver First Aid with CPR AED course completion card such as day-care providers,
teachers, coaches, river-raft guides, or foster parents, just to name a few.
2010 Guidelines Science Update for Instructors
Instructors will need to complete a Science Update prior to including any 2010 Guidelines in
their courses.  The update is available at
www.learn.heart.org.  All AHA ECC courses must
be taught with the 2010 Guidelines Science beginning April 1st, 2011.
Instructor Assisting:  4 hours $25.00
If you have not taught 4 classes for your Instructor Renewal requirement, you can assist in up to
2 of the classes offered at our training center.  You may also assist to be monitored to complete
the requirement to receive your Instructor card.
Once you have completed the classroom course, you will need to be monitored teaching a class
by any current AHA Instructor within 60-days.  A $25 fee will apply if you assist in a class offered
at our training center.  Payment for the course does not include teaching materials such as
videos and books.  The cost for teaching supplies can be determined at the class and can range
from $150 to $250.
  1. You must first have a current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR AED card with the
    2010 CPR Guidelines for adult, child, and infant skills.  This card can be either the BLS for
    Healthcare Providers CPR AED card or a Heartsaver CPR AED card.  You will need to
    bring a copy of your current CPR card to your scheduled class.
  2. You will need to complete a portion of the course on your own called the Core Instructor
    Course (CIC).  This is a 4-6 hour self-directed course you will complete on your computer.  
    Registration for the course will include the CIC manual and will be shipped to you within 5
    business days of receiving your order.  You will need to bring the CIC completion
    certificate to your scheduled class.
  3. You will need to register on the AHA Instructor Network at www.ahaintructornetwork.org
    and complete the Science Update for BLS Instructors at www.learn.heart.org.  You will
    need to bring the Science Update completion certificate to your scheduled class.
